Howdy, folks! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
In the next week, I’ll have a better idea of where the state of the comic strip stands. I’m still hopeful that I’ll be back by the beginning of the year, but also enough of a realist to see that a lot of things have to fall into place before then for that to happen.
With any luck, later this week I’ll be purchasing a new computer. I’m through the holidays, and I think I can swing it. Since I’m only going to need something that can handle my art programs and burning the saved images onto CD’s, I think I’ll be fine with something basic and reasonably cheap.
I hope.
The fact is, I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. And, with no intention of ever letting this computer interact with the internet, I think I’ll be safe from the external attacks that seem to have KO’d my home computer.
Get the laptop, load the software, scan and clean up the art, save to disk, and take the disk to the still-able-to-access-the-internet-but-not-much-else desktop computer, and put the strips online.
Simple. Easy.
We’ll see.
Oh, and one other thing, folks – I’ve been a little under the weather, and I could sure use some effectual and fervent prayers. Thanks in advance!
See you all on Monday!
